Engineers with many years of experience in the electric power engineering field, will be responsible to maintain communication between the customer and contractor or component supplier respectively.
The following are the main functions of the electric power engineering department:
to perform studies (such as feasibility or pre-feasibility studies, of profitability calculations)
to perform process analyses for the implementation of process requirements
to have technical discussions with utility companies with a view to guaranteeing the required energy supply
to develop concepts
to determine investment costs
to perform project management
to perform basic or detail engineering for power engineering fields of high-voltage, medium-voltage or low-voltage technologies, such as:
transformer stations
medium-voltage switchgear
low-voltage switchgear
uninterruptible power supplies
emergency generating sets and emergency power systems
earthing or lightning protection systems
domestic engineering
to prepare risk analyses with a view to determine safety classes according to DIN EN 61511 or VDI/VDE 2180 respectively
In our projects, we use the Simaris Design program for short-circuit calculation.
