Electric power engineering

Engineers with many years of experience in the electric power engineering field, will be responsible to maintain communication between the customer and contractor or component supplier respectively.

The following are the main functions of the electric power engineering department:

  • to perform studies (such as feasibility or pre-feasibility studies, of profitability calculations)
  • to perform process analyses for the implementation of process requirements
  • to have technical discussions with utility companies with a view to guaranteeing the required energy supply
  • to develop concepts
  • to determine investment costs
  • to perform project management
  • to perform basic or detail engineering for power engineering fields of high-voltage, medium-voltage or low-voltage technologies, such as:

  • transformer stations
  • medium-voltage switchgear
  • low-voltage switchgear
  • uninterruptible power supplies
  • emergency generating sets and emergency power systems
  • earthing or lightning protection systems
  • domestic engineering

  • to prepare risk analyses with a view to determine safety classes according to DIN EN 61511 or VDI/VDE 2180 respectively
In our projects, we use the Simaris Design program for short-circuit calculation.
