Associated with the coal phase-out decided by the Federal Republic of Germany, the power plant operator LEAG plans to build various new gas-fired power plants in Lusatia from 2027 onwards. These include, three new power plants in Jänschwalde, Schwarze Pumpe and Boxberg. ONTRAS was approached  regardingthe supply of the required gas quantities. In order to provide the requested capacities in the ONTRAS network, a connection to EUGAL and the construction of a new transfer facility at the Lauchhammer site are required.

Incidentally, this project – for which PLE has already prepared the feasibility study in a previous project – is directly related to the LEAG pipelines project.
